Word Clues

What it is

In Word Clues, a hidden word is shown as blank tiles, and clues appear one at a time. Guests type guesses at any moment, and the earlier you solve it, the more it is worth.

Add it to your show

It is one step in your Rundown, like any other game. Add it where you want it to play.

1. Open the Rundown tab and press Add.
2. Choose Word Clues from the menu. It joins the end of the list and opens on the right.

Set it up

The settings hold your words, one per line: the word, then clues, each labeled with its kind: category, definition, synonym, antonym or example. Use any of them.

The number of letters and the first letter are added for you. Choose the most and the least a word can score, and how often a new clue appears.

The Sounds tab picks the sound effect for each moment of the game.

A word and its first clue

The TV shows the word as blank tiles, with a ladder of clues. The first clue appears right away, and a new clue comes up every few seconds. Every guest sees the same clues on their phone, at the same moment. The points on offer fall as each new clue appears.

Guess any time

Type a guess at any moment. A wrong guess locks you out for a few seconds. A right guess is worth the points of the clue you solved it on, so the earlier the better.

The word

When you reveal the word, the round ends. The TV shows the word and who solved it, and each guest's phone shows the points they earned.

Your controls on the Live tab

On the Live tab, Next word starts a word with its first clue, Next clue shows the next clue now, Reveal the word ends the round, and Skip drops a word.

Tip The same keys are on the Host Remote, so you can run Word Clues from a phone or tablet.

The TV shows the word with its clues, and the guests who solved it.
